Leeds United owned forward Marcus Antonsson has been quizzed about his future with the Championship side.

The 26 year old is currently on loan with Blackburn Rovers after failing hold down a regular place at Leeds United last season.

Speaking to Expressen, Antonsson was asked if he still had a future at Leeds United: “Maybe this is a boring answer. I have a contract with Leeds and belong to them, but I’m professional and now I’m on loan here and I’m really enjoying it. You can’t wonder where you’ll end up.”

The Swede only joined Leeds United last year from Kalmar, but struggled to get games in his debut season in England. Despite a good preseason it always seemed he would exit Leeds United in the last summer window.

Antonsson was linked with a move back to Sweden during the window with several clubs interested in signing him, but was intent on staying in England. The player got his wish with a move to Blackburn Rovers, despite having to drop down a division.

The forward has got more more opportunities with Blackburn Rovers in this campaign, and it seems he’ll have a decision to make about his future at the end of the season.
