Ayoze Pérez is still pushing for a move away from Leicester City in January and Cádiz CF are the latest club in Spain to look at a possible move.
That’s according to El Desmarque, who say that the forward ‘wants to return to Spain’ and is ‘looking for a way out’ of the Kingpower Stadium.
Pérez finds himself somewhat out of the picture at Leicester under Brendan Rodgers, who has only put him in the starting 11 for 7% of the possible minutes this season and handed him 11% of the available minutes overall in the Premier League.
That’s a situation he is unhappy with and several reports over the last few months have made it clear he wants to leave and return to his homeland.
El Desmarque say the same, reporting that Pérez wants to seal a move away in January and aspires to join a club that plays in European competitions.
He has suitors in Spain and one of the ‘many names’ on the table is that of Cádiz CF, who were in the race for Colombian forward Luis Suárez before he went to Almería.
They are looking at alternatives and Pérez is one of them, although a deal would be ‘very complicated’ for the Leicester forward.
The Spanish side have enquired about the striker’s situation but have been made aware that the player’s intention is to wait until his contract expires on 30th June so he can ‘calmly evaluate’ all the offers he receives.
The main issue for Cádiz is that his salary in the Premier League ‘is very high’ and while they were ‘willing to go to the maximum’ in that area, they need to convince the player on the move first.
