Despite all recent reports about West Ham United’s interest in SC Braga star Simon Banza, it seems the player may end up out of Europe.
Newspaper Record today writes that the 27-year-old’s representatives have in their hands a ‘very interesting offer’ from the United Arab Emirates.
The story mentions other interested parties such as West Ham and AS Roma, and claims that this new personal bid is the best in the ‘financial aspect’.
Record, however, doesn’t seem to know how much the Middle East side are offering to Braga, meaning they still have to find an agreement with the Portuguese club.
Although Banza is protected by a €40m release clause, it’s believed that something around €20m could be enough to convince his club to make a deal.
In case West Ham really have a strong wish to sign him, perhaps it’s time to go and try to find a deal with Braga, then use the Premier League argument to convince him to move to London instead.
Earlier this week, the Portuguese media had already claimed that the personal terms offered by West Ham weren’t the best Banza had on the table.
