Former Tottenham Hotspur coach Joe Jordan believes the club have made some good signings in this transfer window. Jordan spent four seasons at Tottenham where he was the No.2 under Harry Redknapp.
Speaking to TMW, the ex AC Milan forward was asked about Tottenham’s chances this season, and what he thought about the new arrivals at White Hart Lane. Jordan said the signing of Victor Wanyama is a good one because he is a player he admires after his performances for Southampton in recent seasons.
Jordan also believes Vincent Janssen will be very important to the team because he thinks this will take the pressure off Harry Kane, and allow the England player to be rested.
“Of the new arrivals, Wanyama I love him. Janssen can be very important. Last year Kane struggled a bit because he was used too much, and the Dutchman can be an alternative,” said Jordan on the new arrivals.
Tottenham will be hoping to put the end of last season behind them after missing out on the Premier League title. The North London side looked well positioned going in into the latter stages of the campaign, but a poor run of results in the final weeks resulted in the club finish third.
Overall, it was of course a positive step and Tottenham will be hoping to qualify for the Champions League again this season.
