Earlier in the week we reported L’Equipe claims that Youssouf Mulumbu was tired of waiting for Marseille and set to join Kayserispor, but the player’s unrealistic wage demands and some extraordinary things he wanted from Kayserispor means there was no deal between two parties.
The former West Bromwich (a club he served from 2009 to 2015) midfielder is currently way down at the pecking order for his manager Alex Neill and it seems he is likely to run out his contract at Carrow Road.
Mulumbu was offered to Kayserispor by his compatriot and club captain Larys Mabiala, but the 29-year old is now back at Norwich City after negotiations broke-down and a deal was failed to be reached.
It’s a big story in the Turkish media, and Spor Toto summed it up briefly on Thursday afternoon.
Mulumbu was targeted by Marseille, but following Lass Diarra’s stay the French club decided not to chase him anymore.
