Leaving Celtic after spending two seasons in Glasgow playing backup, Logan Bailly is now at Royal Excel Mouscron back in his native Belgium.
Despite leaving the Scottish Premiership champions, the 31-year-old still retains an avid interest in what his former club does, and never gets bored of talking about how great his experience in Scotland was.
With Anderlecht set to travel to Celtic Park in a few weeks time, RTBF couldn’t help but ask Bailly about the Champions League encounter between the two sides when interviewing him on “Sur Le Gril”.
He said: “Anderlecht needs to be careful. You’re not champions six times in a row for nothing. Celtic are a team of fighters, with great individuals. For me, Celtic are the better team, but Anderlecht has shown they can up their game in Europe.”
Having played at Celtic Park in the past, the goalkeeper seemed to have a nostalgic moment about his two years there, and appeared envious of the Jupiler Pro League side to witness the famed atmosphere.
He continued: “Playing at Celtic Park is a unique experience. It’s for those crowds that I play the game. It’s a club full of history and passion. Kilts and haggis? No, that’s not for me.
“I left that to the others. And when a some Irish or Scots spoke to each other in the dressing room, it was quite hard to keep up.”
Playing just five games in his two years at Celtic under both Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers, Bailly is now back in first-team action with his new side, playing the last three games after missing the first two, conceding three and picking up a clean sheet.
He might not be remembered as one of the Celtic Park greats, but he sure will never forget his time in Glasgow.
