Liverpool‘s Andy Robertson has already announced his decision to leave Anfield when his contract expires in June.

The Scotland international is in contention to play his last match for Liverpool against Brentford on Sunday.

His status as a free agent makes the left-back a market opportunity for several clubs.

The left-back recently admitted to seriously considering leaving the Reds for Tottenham Hotspur in January. A move never took shape while recent claims insist Spurs are still keen on signing him for free.

On Wednesday, Sport Witness covered claims from Turkey of Fenerbahçe as an option for the 32-year-old.

The Turkish club have positioned themselves for a summer move and may beat Spurs to his signature.

Approach made for Liverpool player

Fenerbahçe are for presidential elections, and the voting will take place on June 6-7th. Despite the ongoing presidential campaign, the club seem to be making advances with potential signings.

That’s according to Thursday’s edition of Sabah, who state the Yellow Canaries have entered the race for the Liverpool defender.

In fact, the Turkish club have made a formal offer to Andy Robertson. It includes a two-year deal, with an option for another year, worth €3m [likely net] per year.

The newspaper states the former Hull City man is ‘receptive to this offer’, meaning he’s tempted to accept it.

However, the presidential election on June 6-7th remains an obstacle for the Turkish club to complete this operation.

Robertson’s stats and honours list with Liverpool

Andy Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City in 2017 and has played 377 matches, managing 14 goals and 69 assists.

He will leave Anfield having won the Premier League and EFL Cup on two occasions, and the Champions League, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup once.
