There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Trabzonspor and Galatasaray are looking to sign Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing.
Only last week the Dutchman was linked with a move to Leeds United as they reportedly worked to sign the player at the last minute.
Gune Bakis today report on Trabzonspor and Galatasaray pursuing the Bournemouth man as the two Turkish sides look to get some business done before the Super Lig transfer window closes on September 13th.
The Turkish media outlet say both Super Lig sides have made attempts to sign Billing, but Bournemouth are hoping to keep hold of the 28-year-old, despite his lack of football so far this season.
It’s reported Leeds United have been showing interest in the central midfielder and that they made a ‘serious offer’ for him. However, Trabzonspor and Galatasaray now have an advantage over the Championship side given the window has now closed in England, and Leeds would have to wait until January.
Billing made 33 appearances last season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to the Premier League side until June 2027.
