Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang didn’t have a great time at Chelsea under Graham Potter and he’ll hope things improve between now and the end of the season.

Frank Lampard may well have different plans moving forwards, but Aubameyang is thought to see his future away from Stamford Bridge.

As a recap, the forward arrived from Barcelona for around €15m, after only spending months with the Catalan club. He’s thought to have quickly regretted the return to English football and has been back to Catalonia in his free time.

Sunday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo reports Barcelona have him as a target, but Chelsea requests could prove an issue.

Whilst Aubameyang is ready to accept a pay cut if he gets his desire to sign for the Blaugrana again, Chelsea aren’t as willing to accommodate the move.

Mundo state the Premier League club want to recoup as much of that €15m as they can. Meanwhile, ‘the first moves have been made’ by Barcelona, and the negotiations will have to find a happy compromise for the two clubs.
