Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has been blamed for the current situation at Chelsea, with the previous board described as ‘perfect’.

The Blues currently find themselves in something of a crisis, having taken the decision to sack manager Thomas Tuchel following the defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League last night.

It’s believed the decision to remove the German from his position came before that game, but that has raised more questions than answers.

Most are wondering why Chelsea’s leadership have decided to sack Tuchel after a huge summer outlay and a decision to focus on players the manager specifically wanted, such as Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

Indeed, there is current a keen eye on the business that Chelsea’s new owners have done this summer, with an outlay of £253m on players such as Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.

For those of us on the outside looking in it appears there was no clear strategy and former Everton scout Carlo Jacomuzzi is not impressed.

“About Chelsea? Up to when Abramovich first, and Marina later, Chelsea were a perfect machine. The new ownership has made a mess of it,” Area Napoli report him saying.

“The same improvisation can be seen at Juventus. At Napoli, on the other hand, De Laurentiis has delegated the football market to his trusted men and now has a group of some depth.

“With what the Blues have spent, these results do not exist, nor does taking a player like Zakaria at the last minute, not so much for the player, but more for the timing. Yet another demonstration of improvisation.

“Who will be the new coach? We’ll see, for now I only see a lot of confusion. I would exclude an anonymous Englishman because he is not in line with this society.

“There are a few big names, including Pochettino, but we need to understand if the club perceives him as such. There you need someone who is good at managing a group of all champions.”
