It seems the Kalidou Koulibaly saga could be coming to an end, at least according to the player’s agent.
Speaking to Goal.com, Bruno Satin said that, despite the talks he was holding being confidential, an outcome was likely to be found in the next two to three days, meaning by the end of the week.
Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday seem to know a bit more about these talks and shine a light on them in their printed edition.
The Italian newspaper claim that Chelsea are still hovering around the Senegalese defender, and a ‘final summit’ in London has taken place regarding the famous €50m bid.
Napoli have made it clear they do not want to sell K2, mostly because Torino have rejected their €25m offer for Nikola Maksimovic, who they see as a replacement.
So our question is, if the player’s future will be sorted by the end of the week, what has changed?
It’s also worth pointing out the Serie A team wanted to renew the player’s contract, which he wasn’t interested in doing a few weeks ago.
So either Torino have agreed to sell Maksimovic (meaning Chelsea can have Koulibaly) or the Senegal international has accepted Napoli’s improved offer to remain in the south of Italy.
Let’s wait two to three days, then.
