The endless effort from Serie A clubs to get the better of their richer Premier League rivals is close to an obsession.

Each year, multiple players in England are targeted, often from clubs where they’ve struggled to shine or at clubs facing relegation. Free agents are also a market which is strongly looked into.

That’s how Divock Origi ended up at AC Milan, He played for Liverpool, so must be a bargain… right?

Well, the Rossoneri are now discovering that may not be the case and Origi could be returning to the Premier League, with Crystal Palace one of the clubs mentioned.

Calciomercato name Crystal Palace, alongside West Ham United and Aston Villa, as a potential destination for the striker.

In his first season with AC Milan, Origi has scored just two goals in 35 matches. The 28-year-old has a contract lasting until June 2026, but Milan have had enough already.

Calciomercato say Origi and Ante Rebic have been ‘rejected and dumped’ and can leave this summer.

A ‘figure close to €8-10m’ would be enough for Crystal Palace to sign him, although there’s probably the chance for a cheaper deal.
