As Leeds United fullback Rasmus Kristensen continues to fight for his place at AS Roma, he now has a bit of a disadvantage in the squad.
That’s because he was not included in their squad for the Europa League, and as the Giallorossi play Sheriff tonight, it’s Rick Karsdorp who’s set to start in that position.
Outlet Voce Giallorossa now features a story about the situation, pointing out how ‘smiling’ and ‘radiant’ the Dutch player seemed during his latest press conference.
The outlet then writes that this could be a chance for Karsdorp to finally win the fight for that position, as ‘he is a fighter’ and ‘gives everything’ to Roma.
The Leeds United loanee is then set to watch that from home, and maybe lose his spot in the team while away.
Kristensen has three appearances for Roma this season, with José Mourinho bringing him in and out of the bench in the past few games.
He’s loaned by Leeds to the Giallorossi until the next summer, and in case of a return to Elland Road, his contract with the Whites runs until 2027.
