Crystal Palace star Yeremy Pino has said he wants to win the Champions League, after adding a World Cup title to his growing collection.
La Provincia report comments from the 23-year-old today after he made a special visit to the Canary islands during his post World Cup break. He was part of Spain’s squad for the tournament but injured his shoulder, missing the final rounds.
Champions League dream
The Crystal Palace forward has been speaking to the media during a two-part event, first at the Government of the Canary Islands and then at the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, where he received appreciation from fellow islanders.
Success with Spain this summer is the latest in a growing list of triumphs for the forward, who has already won the Europa League and Conference League at club level. He was also a Nations League winner with Spain in 2023.
And he wants to continue adding to that collection too. Next up, he wants a Champions League medal for his collection.
“I was taught to be competitive and to fight for my dreams,” he said.
“I feel I still have many more to achieve, and I’m going to keep working to win more titles.”
He is clear that he would like to “win the Champions League. It is the only European club title I have yet to win, and it remains a goal I want to achieve.”
Premier League future
Yeremy Pino was then asked how this latest success would impact his future in the Premier League. The forward has a deal with Crystal Palace until 2030 but is managed by CAA Stellar.
They represent some of the biggest names in football. They have already negotiated big moves for Elliot Anderson and Ibrahima Konate this summer. Pino is among the top 20 most valuable clients on their books according to Transfermarkt.
For now, he’s not pushing for a move. Instead he is calling for respect of the player he is rather than the new title – World Cup winner – that he now holds.
“I’ve felt truly loved there from day one,” he added.
“I’ve always been treated very well. But I want to continue being respected for the person I am, not just for having won this title.”
