Nottingham Forest take on FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday.

Ange Postecoglou will be hunting his first win in all competitions, having lost three games so far. The Australian oversaw the 2-2 draw against Real Betis last week. He will expect to see something different against the Danish side on Thursday.

During the pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White was asked a lot of questions. Midtjylland’s Philip Billing was left sitting for quite a bit of time and this annoyed the midfielder.

Billing may have expected more attention given his past in English football, at Huddersfield Town and Bournemouth.

He told the press, relayed by Ekstrabladet: “I know how it is. That’s how they (UK press) think (Nottingham Forest being favourites). But it can be an advantage for us.”

“They are clear favourites for this match, and especially in England. They are a Premier League team and see themselves as a good team. Otherwise they wouldn’t have been in the Europa League either.”

Highlighting what annoyed him, Billing said: “But the fact that it took 16 minutes probably says a bit about what is expected over here in England. It’s a game that everyone expects them to roll over us.

The 29-year-old also sent a warning to Nottingham Forest, saying: “If we reach our level, and the level that I have seen, we all know we have on this team, we can surprise [them].”

Ekstrabladet note that during the press conference, one journalist after another spoke only about Nottingham Forest. After only 16 minutes, a journalist from Bold was given the chance to speak about Midtjylland.

Billing has been a regular for Midtjylland this season, playing seven times in all competitions. He will play a key role on Thursday, having played over 250 games in England.
