Manchester United’s firm desire to bring Kim Min-jae to Old Trafford in the summer has been repeatedly reported in the Italian media for the past few weeks.
These claims aren’t going away anytime soon as Friday’s Il Mattino further backs up the Red Devils wanting to sign the Napoli star
Min-jae has other suitors in the Premier League but Manchester United are one to have shown the ‘greatest interest’ to acquire his signature.
The report focuses on the future of the 26-year-old and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The latter is set to sign a new deal with the Serie A side while the centre-back is on his way out of the club.
It’s claimed Min-jae’s ‘farewell is confirmed’ and Napoli’s clash against Sampdoria will be his ‘last day’ of work with the club, despite him being suspended for the weekend clash. Manchester United are said to be his next destination.
Erik ten Hag’s side ‘will exercise’ his €60m release clause, valid between July 1st and July 15th. With the South Korea international expected to be heading towards Old Trafford, Napoli have to find his successor in the market.
Furthermore, journalist Gianluca Vigliotti told Tele Vomero’s program, Giochiamo D’Anticipo, relayed by Napoli Magazine that the defender will leave Napoli for Manchester United.
“Kim’s story at Napoli is over, the footballer, after a year in blue, is ready to fly to England with destination Manchester United. The clause was a great operation by the prosecutors,” he said.
