A ‘farewell is certain’ for Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Tottenham in the summer if Ange Postecoglou remains in charge.

That’s according to Il Bianconero, who report that Juventus could remain in the mix for him but it ‘will depend on price’ for the Italian side.

Højbjerg has long been linked with a move away from Tottenham after having struggled to cement himself in the team under Postecoglou this season.

He’s largely featured from the bench as Spurs have impressed without him, leading to numerous rumours that he could be moved on.

Juventus have been consistently linked with a transfer as they need to rebuild their midfield thanks to long suspensions for Paul Pogba and Niccolo Fagioli.

A move never happened in January, with Juventus eventually bringing in Carlos Alcaraz on loan and preferring to wait until the summer.

Il Bianconeri now pick up on that and explain he remains on the list for the Italian side as his future at Tottenham is up in the air.

According to them a ‘farewell is certain’ for Højbjerg ‘if Postecoglou stays’, which at this point is surely a certainty given how Spurs have performed this season.

Juventus moving to sign him is no foregone conclusion, though, and any potential deal ‘will depend on price’ for the Italian side, which is no surprise given how reluctant Italian side always are to spend their own money.
