Now at Udinese, Isaac Success is playing for the third club controlled by the Pozzo family.
The striker had already featured for Granada and Watford, until he was sold to the Serie A side in a €1.8m deal in 2021.
That means Success is well-used to being involved in transactions made by the Pozzos, and now talked about it in an interview with Udinese’s magazine.
There he was asked about these moves between Granada, Watford and Udinese. And he claims that his relationship with the owners is now pretty deep.
“The Pozzos are not simply an owner, for me they are a real family,” Success told Udinese’s magazine (via TuttoMercatoWeb).
“They have accompanied me for ten years of my career, since I was very young. It’s not usual to have such a deep relationship with an owner in football, it’s something I really appreciate and am grateful for.”
Success was bought by Watford in a €15m deal in the summer of 2016, and that’s the most expensive transfer he was ever involved in.
Playing for the Hornets, he only had six goals and five assists in a total of 72 appearances. He spent five years belonging to the Vicarage Road side, and that included a short loan-spell he had at Spanish club Malaga as well.
Now at Udinese, he has four goals in 51 appearances, despite being a regular starter at the Serie A side.
