Former Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici could be set for his return to football, with talks already underway with AC Milan.

That’s according to Foot Mercato who report that the Italian could be set for his return to football after leaving Tottenham in 2023.

Paratici has been out of work since March 2023 after resigning from his role as sports director at Tottenham, where he had been since July 2021.

That resignation came after he was suspended by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) from certain football-related activities for 30 months in March 2023 after former club Juventus were found guilty of false accounting. That was then extended worldwide by FIFA.

He was eventually replaced by Johan Lange as technical director, with him arriving from Aston Villa in November 2011.

The Italian has been out of work since but Foot Mercato report that he is now in talks with AC Milan as they continue ‘behind the scenes manoeuvres’. The Serie A side have already changed manager this year and now seemingly want to change their upper set up too.

Paratici would reportedly take up the ‘helm of the sporting direction’ of the club, returning to his homeland where he was previous sports director at Juventus and chief scout at Sampdoria.
