The Ferdi Kadıoğlu to Brighton drama continues to rumble on in the Turkish media, so it’s worth having a recap of what has been claimed over the past 24 hours.

On Wednesday, we covered claims from Turkey which stated the left-back had agreed to join to the Seagulls and that Fenerbahce would make a decision on Brighton’s offer today.

The amount of that offer was put at €35m, and at the time we said it was possible Fener were waiting for just a little more.

Thursday morning saw claims of Manchester United also making an offer, with the Red Devils reported to be offering more as an initial fee when compared to Brighton, but less as a whole package.

Then it was quickly reported Kadıoğlu’s agents had informed the Super Lig club that the player wanted a move to the Premier League, with Brighton pushing ahead for a deal.

Now Turkish journalist Resat Can Ozbudak reports that the key for Brighton has been Fabian Hürzeler calling Ferdi Kadıoğlu and sharing his plans for the player.

Hürzeler told the left-back why he needs him, and that prompted the approval.

Other reports in Turkey have been covering Fenerbahce’s search for a replacement, with Tottenham Sergio Reguilon the favourite right now.
