Yesterday, we reported France national team boss Didier Deschamps comments on Mamadou Sakho.
Deschamps revealed he had exchanged text messages with Sakho, and that he should seek a move away from Liverpool.
The France boss has been speaking again about Sakho to the French media (via L’Equipe), which isn’t really surprising considering the Liverpool star was one of the first names in his squad before he tested positive in a doping test.
Deschamps insists Sakho must find a way to express himself on the pitch, but that looks very difficult at the moment with Liverpool being at the top of the standings and not needing to make changes.
He said: “I spoke to Mamadou Sakho to see just where he was. It seems very complicated to me. I don’t know if there is another solution for him to go elsewhere.
“He hasn’t played for many weeks and his team, Liverpool, are first in English championship. He must find a way to express himself on the field, which is no longer possible for many weeks.”
At the moment, it seems a long way back for Sakho in the Liverpool team. Jurgen Klopp doesn’t seem to fancy him, despite him being a favourite among certain sections of Liverpool fans.
It’s very likely Liverpool will ship him away in the January transfer window, and the player will also want to move on.
