Eintracht Frankfurt are expecting an offer from Liverpool for striker Randall Kolo Muani in the summer as he continues to impress in Germany.
That’s according to SportBILD, who say there has been a ‘turnaround’ in the player’s situation and he could now leave the club this summer.
The newspaper explains that Frankfurt had expected Muani, who has 14 goals and 14 assists in all competitions this season, to stay until at least 2024 despite increased interest in him.
However, a transfer in the summer is ‘already possible’ after the player changed agents and signed up with Ousmane Dembele’s representative Moussa Sissoko.
He has ‘the best connections’ Europe’s top clubs and ‘it is expected’ that interested parties such as Liverpool ‘will make an offer’ in the summer.
They’re not the only club who are keen, with Manchester United also in the mix and both PSG and Real Madrid said to be discussing how they ‘set themselves up’ to make a deal happen.
All of those clubs want a new centre-forward and the limited supply of those considered to be good enough is working in Muani’s favour as he and his new agent now eye up a move.
A summer transfer would also make sense for Frankfurt if the money is right and any bid of €100m would be more than enough to tempt them into a sale.
Whether that’s a figure Liverpool would be willing or capable of paying isn’t made clear, particularly after they spent big on improving their forward line with the signings of Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo this season.
They need their money for a rebuild of midfield but SportBILD’s information is that a bid is expected to arrive from Anfield, although it is likely to be one of many for the highly coveted Frenchman this summer.
