Sometimes transfers come at the exact right time for players and it seems January’s departure from West Ham United was perfectly set up for Pablo Fornals.

AS cover the player today and how he is posting numbers that are ‘above expectations’ and taking advantage of the absence of Isco from Real Betis’ squad.

They continue the trend of articles from Spain on the player today, explaining how a long-term absence for Isco has instead turned out to be a ‘most opportune moment’ for the January signing.

They explain that since arriving from West Ham at the end of the January transfer window, no player in La Liga has managed more key passes than him.

He is also fourth in terms of percentage per game in that regard as well and has fully filled the gap created by the absence of Isco, who had been dominating those areas previously.

Those numbers are ‘above expectations’, with him averaging 2.4 per game so far and getting closer to Isco’s league leading number of 3.09 per game.

The reality is that he has ‘dressed’ as Isco since arriving and is the player who has brought the ‘greatest clarity’ to Manuel Pellegrini’s side in the last month.

He’s now looking to maintain those numbers and the dynamics he’s enjoying ahead of being able to link up with Isco once he returns from injury.

It’s all positive news for the for the former West Ham man, whose move away from the London Stadium is certainly working out well for all involved.
