Gustavo Scarpa has arrived in England ahead of his Nottingham Forest move.

The midfielder landed in London on Thursday morning, and is now ready to get to know the club he’s signing for.

Since Scarpa still has a contract running with Palmeiras, his deal with Nottingham Forest is only expected to be official on the 1st of January. That’s the same day he becomes a free agent and the winter window opens.

The midfielder, however, has already travelled to England to start his integration process with the Reds. Sport Witness have been informed he’s set to join the City Ground’s squad for their trips to Greece and Spain, where they’re playing Olympiacos and Valencia in friendlies during the World Cup break.

Nottingham Forest are only officially back in action on December 21st, when they face Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup. The Reds then play Manchester United in the Premier League on December 27th, and those are the only two games the club have this year before Scarpa signs a contract.

The 28-year-old is joining the Premier League side at his peak, having just been named the best player in the Brazilian league. Despite leaving a club who’d just won the title for a side who are set to fight against relegation, the midfielder is hugely excited to fulfil his dream of playing in England.
