Earlier on Friday, we’ve covered a story from Argentine outlet El Intrasigente which had some updates on Miguel Almiron’s situation at Atlanta United.

The outlet said that his agent had been receiving offers from Arsenal, Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham, and the player’s future should be decided in the next few days.

We contacted Almiron’s representative Daniel Campos, who’s taking it easy on the rumours, and said that things are not at such an advanced stage so far.

“I’m in contact with several clubs but I do not have any offers yet,” Daniel Campos told Sport Witness. “And I’m not going to name clubs when there’s a lot of speculation. We’ll see what happens with time.”

El Intransigente had also claimed Almiron would rather play for Newcastle or West Ham as it would be easier to get minutes in these clubs instead of Arsenal and Tottenham.

Asked by Sport Witness about this, Daniel Campos says that these claims make no sense: “Not at all. Miguel doesn’t ever talk about that. There is nothing yet.”

With the MLS season coming to an end, Almiron currently has 13 goals and 13 assists in 37 games for Atlanta United.
