For the past week, reports coming out of Spain have credited Arsenal with an interest in Barcelona’s Ansu Fati.
On February 8th, La Vanguardia reported the Gunners are looking at the forward and this was backed up later that day by Cadena COPE when they stated the north London club have called his agent to know about Fati’s situation at the Camp Nou.
Three days ago, Mundo Deportivo explained he has received offers from important clubs like Arsenal.
The 20-year-old was left out of the starting lineup for the majority of the fixtures after the World Cup.
With Arsenal named as his suitor, they would be delighted to know the Spain international’s situation at the Catalan club hasn’t improved.
Sport state this is starting to worry him and those around him. Although Fati hopes Xavi Hernández will give him a prominent role this season, the Arsenal target’s ‘patience is running out’ and is ‘beginning to get tired’ of his situation.
Fati has now set his sights on starting against Manchester United next Thursday and two matches [including Copa del Rey] against Real Madrid in March. If he doesn’t, Sport state ‘all scenarios could be opened up’ for him.
Jorge Mendes has informed Barca about his client’s concern. The agent has also told the Blaugrana about the availability of some English clubs and they could come forward with an offer in the summer.
Sport didn’t name any teams, but it’s fairly clear that Arsenal could be in the picture since they have been repeatedly linked in recent times.
