Ronald Koeman would quite happily keep Clement Lenglet at Barcelona for the coming season, however, those in charge at the Camp Nou think differently and would not oppose the defender leaving.

As is the pattern with Barcelona this summer, they want to bring some money in and/or reduce the wage bill, and Lenglet’s exit is more appealing than some others, and perhaps much easier.

Sport report AS Roma are in the picture to sign the player, with Everton and West Ham also getting a mention.

Everton are often thrown into the ring when it comes to Barcelona wanting to get rid of players, and it’s unclear whether this link is through hope from the Camp Nou or genuine interest from Goodison Park.

If it’s genuine, then Rafa Benitez could sign Lenglet on a variety of deals. With a straight transfer, loan with option and swap all something Barca would consider for the Frenchman, and ‘everything is open’.

Lenglet would like to stay where he is, yet if he’s to leave then a move to the Premier League would be his priority.

A deal looks there to be done.
