Former Manchester City defender Eric Garcia has admitted it was a dream playing for the club from a young age, as he now shines elsewhere in the City Group Network.
The centre-back has been speaking to Sport about his history at Manchester City and how he now looks back at his time there.
The 23-year-old was with Manchester City from 2017 to 2021, joining them as a youngster from Barcelona and working his way up through the youth ranks to the first team.
He went on to make 35 appearances for the first team under Pep Guardiola and earned rave reviews for his performances too, with many predicting a bright future for him at the club.
That didn’t come to pass, though, as Barcelona were able to lure him back to the club on a free transfer three years ago as they started to look at La Masia once again and former youth products such as himself.
He went on to establish himself in the first team but found himself out of the picture again last summer so moved on loan to Girona, where he has been shining for them under the guidance of Michel.
The Spanish side are obviously part of the City Group Network and that clearly led Sport to ask the player about his past at Manchester City, something he was more than happy to discuss.
“It was very good,” he said.
“I arrived there when I was 16 years old, I spent four seasons in the youth team, from the reserve team to the first team.
“The experience I gained there was everything. Everything I experienced there was a dream given I was so young.”
