Everton have now got the necessary paperwork they need to complete the signing of Nikola Vlasic from Hajduk Split.

A fee has been agreed between Everton and the Croatian club for several days, with the amount being around €10m, depending on which report one chooses to believe.

Personal terms between Everton and Vlasic weren’t a problem, and that was probably helped by the player’s family and representatives being due a percentage of the transfer fee.

Vlasic then travelled to Liverpool for an Everton medical, but still had the work permit issue hanging over him. The player’s agent spoke about his confidence it could be sorted out, and now 24Sata say it has been.

The Croatian newspaper have been following the Everton transfer closely, and have been informed the permit has been granted. It’s stated that as well as the transfer fee Everton are paying, and Vlasic’s good history with Croatia youth teams, his family’s sporting reputation also played a part.

Nikola’s older sister Blanca is a very successful high-jumper and 24Sata believe it helped. Whatever it takes.
