Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has admitted he is ready to move to a big club if any should come calling for him.

D Sports Senegal have an interview with the midfielder today in which he discusses Tottenham, his career to date and criticism in the national team set up.

The 22-year-old has been with Tottenham since 2021 after they signed him in a €16.9m deal from FC Metz. They loaned him back to the French club for that year before bringing him back in 2022.

He’s been a regular for Spurs ever since, particularly under Ange Postecoglou, with 93 appearances to date and nine goals and seven assists to his name.

Despite closing in on 100 appearances for Tottenham and 74 of those coming in the Premier League, he can still be considered a talent for the future given his age.

Indeed, he has at least ten years or more of his career left to play and he admits if he gets to the point where big sides come calling, he is more than ready to make the switch and step up.

“There are people who deal with these aspects for me,” he said.

“I am focusing on the field and on Tottenham. I have to be efficient, and I trust my agents to manage discussions with other clubs. For now, I’m here, and I’m totally focused on Tottenham.”

“Every player dreams of climbing the ladder and playing with the biggest clubs in the world,” he added when asked what he’d do if Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or PSG called tomorrow.

“But as I said, I’m at Tottenham, and I’m focusing on this season with them. Anything that comes next will be a bonus. I am ready for all the challenges that will come to me.”
