‘More complicated every day’ – Wolves player in difficult situation, and things could get worse

There’s been no further assists, and no goals at all, with Xavi Hernandez gradually preferring other options. Over the past four La Liga matches, the 26-year-old got just 25 minutes and didn’t even get off the bench twice.

Barcelona are looking to sign Raphinha from Leeds United, and that would put more pressure on Adama Traore’s position. As would a renewal for Ousmane Dembele, with talks set to take place on that this week.

Sport say the situation is ‘more complicated every day’ for the Wolves player, and it’s made clear that Barcelona have no intention to pay a transfer fee for him. A swap with Francisco Trincao was mentioned repeatedly, but that now seems like a remote possibility.
