Everton have made a bid for Napoli midfielder Allan, according to claims from the Italian media.
Website Tutto Mercato Web is the one saying the Toffees have tried to sign the Brazilian by offering €30m to the Serie A side.
But that bid shouldn’t be enough to convince any of the parties involved.
The report first claims the Brazilian would rather wait for a ‘big’ club, like Atletico Madrid or Juventus, to try and sign him.
Regarding Napoli’s stance, it’s explained Everton’s offer simply wouldn’t be enough at this stage.
Allan’s price has already dropped a lot, since the Italian club were asking for €100m from Paris Saint Germain last summer.
This time, they’re demanding at least €40m for the midfielder, and in case they need to drop it, a deal could be found for between €35m and €36m.
Tutto Mercato Web says there’s a salary of €6m per season waiting for the player, and perhaps that’s what can convince him, along with Carlo Ancelotti’s presence, to accept joining the Toffees.
