Everton and Wolves are set to battle it out for the signing of Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus but need to convince the Dutch giants to sell.
That’s according to Ghana Soccer Net and Football Ghana, who both provide their own information on a possible move for Kudus this summer.
Reports in England had linked Kudus to Everton last week, stating a move was close and a loan deal had been agreed.
That, though, was strongly denied in the Netherlands, were several journalists briefed that Ajax were insisting that they had not received any offer and the player would not be moving.
Ghana Soccer Net pick up on that today and say the midfielder ‘could end up’ at Everton before the window closes as Frank Lampard is keen for him to arrive.
According to their information, Everton and the player have ‘agreed on personal terms’ after Lampard promised he would be starter.
The Blues boss ‘has not given up’ on a deal happening but Ajax are refusing to let Kudus go.
Football Ghana add their own spin, stating that Wolves have also decided to ‘join the pursuit’ for the Ajax midfielder.
They are ‘set to open talks’ with the player’s representatives over a possible loan move this summer, even going as far as to say Kudus has held ‘crisis talks’ with Ajax boss Alfred Schreuder about his current position in the squad.
Ajax want to keep him, but Kudus wants more game time and ‘will fancy a dream move’ to the Premier League, be that Everton or Wolves.
