Everton have managed three wins from 20 league matches this season and their poor run has seen them languish in the relegation zone.
Earlier this week, the Toffees sacked Frank Lampard, are in the process of appointing a new manager. This has seen a few of their transfer targets shift their focus to joining other clubs.
Lampard’s exit could also have an impact on some of the players currently at Everton, including Amadou Onana, who arrived at the club from Lille last summer.
According to Het Nieuwsblad, Arsenal and Chelsea have the midfielder on their wish-list and the two London clubs have expressed their interest in signing the Belgium international.
There are no concrete negotiations underway, but it is expected that Everton are ‘willing to listen to any offers’ for the 21-year-old. From the player’s camp, they are not ruling out any scenario.
Everton paid €40m for Onana and it goes without saying they will need a fee higher than that to consider selling him. The player was not spotted in training yesterday and reports in England suggested this had to do with the rumours surrounding his future.
Het Nieuwsblad have dismissed that and add Onana had stayed indoors for treatment on Tuesday.
