FC Lorient’s Dango Ouattara is of interest to Everton and West Ham United, according to a report from France.
The 20-year-old is one of the standout stars for the Ligue 1 side as they enjoyed a good run in the league this season. Operating mainly on both wings, he has scored six goals and registered six assists from 17 matches.
Ouattara’s impressive performances doesn’t go unnoticed, especially in England, where Everton and West Ham are his suitors.
That’s according to Media Foot, who explain the two Premier League sides have already moved behind the scenes for the Burkina Faso international.
It’s further claimed both the Toffees and David Moyes’ side have ‘gone on the attack’ to sign him in January.
The forward has less than 18 months left on his contract and the report states he is as a ‘perfect candidate’ to leave the French club this month. His profile and ‘obvious’ potential make clubs in England like Everton and West Ham drool.
Lorient have an opportunity to sell Ouattara for a ‘very good price’ of more than €10m in the current window and the asking price could rise further.
Either way, it will be interesting to see if Everton or West Ham will be successful in securing his services in the winter market.
