AS Roma have joined the race to sign Werder Bremen forward Max Kruse, according to claims in the Italian media. The German has been linked with a move to Everton and West Ham United this summer.

TMW have today claimed Roma are starting to show an interest in Kruse ahead of the next window. The Germany international is being followed by a number of clubs across Europe, including clubs from England. With Champions League football guaranteed for next season, the Serie A side will be looking to bolster their squad, and Kruse is an option.

Everton and West Ham are named as interested clubs by TMW, but that almost certainly comes from earlier German claims. German magazine SportBild linked Everton and West Ham at the end of May, and then named the clubs again in their edition last week.

The two were among a number of Premier League sides named in Germany, and the situation didn’t seem too serious, although some English reports exaggerated the German claims.
