Without much further explanation, Calciomercato believe Everton and West Ham are both interested in Sampdoria’s Dennis Praet in a two line article.
For fans of the Toffees, the name might ring a few bells, as this isn’t the first time the Merseyside club have been named alongside the Belgian midfielder.
Back in January, Praet was linked with a move to Juventus, and Corriere dello Sport had an article on the matter where they explained both Newcastle and Everton had seen their offers rejected by the player who wanted to win trophies.
If what Calciomercato are reporting is correct, however, that hasn’t put the English side off, now joined by West Ham.
With both clubs now without a manager, any transfer plans Sam Allardyce or David Moyes might have had have gone out of the window.
It’s worth pointing out that there will be also be a change in the director of football role at Goodison Park, with PSV announcing on Wednesday that Marcel Brands will be joining Everton and will start his new role on June 1st.
So if Praet was an Allardyce/Walsh target, Calciomercato’s information might not be as relevant after today.
