The agent for CSKA Moscow midfielder Nikola Vlašić has insisted there has been no contact with Everton about a potential move this summer, but has left the door open.

Vlašić has been linked with a return to Goodison Park this week, with one report stating that they are impressed by what they have seen of him during his time in Russia and are keen to bring him back.

Everton signed Vlašić from Hajduk Split in 2017 but loaned him to CSKA in 2018 before sanctioning a permanent exit the following year.

He’s since been the star of the show in Russia, racking up 33 goals and 20 assists in 103 games for CSKA so far.

That has apparently caught Everton’s attention, with the aforementioned claims stating they will activate a release clause in his contract and bring him back to Merseyside.

It seems that is news to his agent, though, who has made it clear there’s been no contact from the Toffees so far.

“Everton has not contacted me about Nikola, and this is not a question at the moment,” he told Sport 24.

“But who knows what the future holds. Anything is possible.”
