Sami Khedira is in England to discuss a move to Everton, but they are not the only club the German midfielder is talking to, with Tottenham also a possibility.

That’s what BILD journalist Christian Falk claims today, backing up claims from Italy that the Juventus man is in talks about a move to Goodison Park.

Khedira is widely expected to leave Juventus in the January transfer window, with the club keen to get him off the wage bill as he is not a part of Andrea Pirlo’s plans.

He’s been heavily linked with a move to Everton as a result of Carlo Ancelotti’s presence at the club, the Italian manager having worked with Khedira during his time at Real Madrid.

Indeed, Ancelotti hinted recently that they were looking at a deal, which was followed by reports that Khedira had travelled to England, with Juventus’ permission, to discuss a move.

Those claims suggested he was in contact with several clubs about a potential move, although Tottenham were not named.

Falk backs up those reports today and hints that a move to London is a possibility given his relationship with Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho.

“Carlo Ancelotti and him have an eventful past, they won the 2014 Champions League together, but it’s a question of salaries,” he told BILD.

“There are other clubs he is talking to at the moment. He also has other connections.

“I mean he still has Jose Mourinho’s phone number, and they are always in contact.

“Mourinho called him his soldier, and he has a bit of money in the war chest, so there are a few possibilities. The question is who can and wants to afford to pay for him.”
