Everton will again have to work smartly in the coming transfer windows, with finances at Goodison Park proving to be an issue for recent managers.
Frank Lampard will be determined to move his team away from relegation worries, and to then build for a better future. With multiple players probably needed, that means Everton can’t be spending too much on each one and will need to be mindful of salary levels.
Calciomercato report the Toffees have targeted Beto, and are following the player. The 24-year-old plays for Udinese, where he moved in the 2021 summer window.
Last season, the striker scored 13 goals in 34 matches. So far during the current campaign he’s found the back of the net six times in 16 matches.
Beto’s contract lasts until June 2026 and he’s likely to be on low wages relative to what is available in the Premier League. Udinese probably wouldn’t be too wild when it comes to asking price.
Calciomercato state that along with Everton, there’s interest from Fiorentina, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli.
