It’s been a while since we’ve seen the name Adrien Rabiot linked seriously with anyone (about a month), and yet the Italian media weren’t going to go a whole January transfer window without mentioning him.
As you know, the 25-year-old Frenchman is in a complicated relationship with the media wherever he goes, leading to summer rumours of a possible Everton transfer, but he has found some solace under Andrea Pirlo, who has played him fairly regularly this season.
Left out of the game against Udinese, he returned on Wednesday in the 3-1 win over Milan, where he played the full 90 minutes.
Despite this, Juventus could do with some money, and Corriere dello Sport state the Serie A champions ‘are prepared to listen to offers’ for two players.
One of those is Federico Bernardeschi, who could be used in a deal to acquire Papu Gómez from Atalanta, and the other is Rabiot.
It’s said Everton are ‘still going after’ the France international, as Carlo Ancelotti is the manager who gave him a career at Paris Saint-Germain and who could ‘find him again’ at Goodison Park.
It’s no secret the Italian manager is the only one to have managed to get the best out of Rabiot throughout his career, which could be a massive bonus for the Toffees should they get a deal over the line.
That’s because when he’s in form and happy, he’s very good.
