Everton have been linked with numerous players at the end of the window, as the Toffees try their best to strengthen Sean Dyche’s squad ahead of an upcoming relegation battle.
Southampton are in a similar position, and it’s no surprise to see the two clubs chasing the same player on deadline day.
L’Equipe report that both Everton and Southampton have had offers accepted for Kamaldeen Sulemana. The 20-year-old striker currently plays for Rennes and has been linked with multiple Premier League clubs during the January transfer window.
The French newspaper say the youngster’s departure from Rennes is becoming ‘increasingly clearer’. Both the English sides have met the Ligue 1 club’s demand of €25m, so as far as Rennes are concerned the player can leave.
It’s now down to him to choose his preferred destination, and with the window closing this evening he hasn’t got much time to do so.
Whether the choice will be made on personal terms or sporting ambition isn’t clear.
