After being heavily linked with a move to Premier League clubs in previous transfer windows, Oguzhan Ozyakup isn’t enjoying the best spell of his career.

The 26 year old has gone backwards after he signed a new five-year contract with Besiktas last summer as he hasn’t started a league game for his Super Lig club since November.

Fanatik say the Turkish international is likely to leave Besiktas, and Everton have been linked with the player ahead of the next transfer window.

The Turkish newspaper claims Everton are showing an interest in signing the former Arsenal midfielder, but his future will likely depend on who will take charge at Besiktas when current manager Senol Gunes leaves the club this summer

Ozyakup has previously been linked with moves to West Ham United, Tottenham and Arsenal and now Everton are the latest side from England to be tracking the central midfielder.

The Turkish international is under contracted at Besiktas until June 2022.
