Everton have been closely following FC Midtjylland’s Franculino Djú this season.
Back in August, Campo reported the Toffees scouted the striker in the Europa League qualifier against Hibernian FC.
On November 5th, Bold stated Everton, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan scouts watched the 21-year-old closely. Later that month, Tipsbladet reported Midtjylland won’t sell him for less €35m.
They wanted to wait until next summer, whilst his agent was pushing for a January move.
Indkast.dk now report around 20 clubs have visited the MCH Arena on several occasions to watch the Danish club’s players. They say it’s mainly to watch Franculino, Ousmane Diao, Darío Osorio and Aral Şimşir.
The Toffees are leading the list for number of visits to Midtjylland’s stadium. It’s claimed Everton’s Danish scout Ole Nielsen has made at least eight visits this season. The second highest is four from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Indkast.dk haven’t specified the player[s] that Everton have been following closely. It’s likeliest they have the Guinea-Bissau international on their transfer agenda.
Franculino has starred for Midtjylland this season, scoring 21 goals and contributing three assists from 30 matches. David Moyes’ side will have to battle with other clubs for his signature.
