Everton striker Moise Kean has been left out of Italy’s squad which will be facing Armenia and Finland in the next international break.

His absence in the list is the headline of a story from Corriere Dello Sera today, and the outlet talks a little about the reason.

Kean will be part of the U21 squad, and although he’s still in that age group, it’s surprising to see him downgraded after having a few appearances for the fist team.

Corriere says his absence is related to a delay at the U23 squad back in June. At that time, both Kean and Nicolo Zaniolo arrived late for a presentation, with manager Luigi Di Biagio giving some clues that it wasn’t the first time.

Even though the delay was only 20 minutes, Kean had to stay on the bench for the following game, and now misses the chance to go to the senior squad.

Since he was expected to be there, as Italy try to renew their national team, Kean will be probably be named in the next call up if there’s no further issues.

For now, as Corriere della Sera have it, the Everton player has been ‘relegated’.
