Everton are interested in Monaco full-back Caio Henrique and have ‘probed’ a possible deal in the coming months.
That’s according to IG Esporte, who say the Blues are keeping an eye on the 25-year-old Brazilian left-back.
Henrique has been impressing for Monaco in Ligue 1 this season, with five assists and one goal in ten league games so far.
Those numbers have reportedly impressed sides in the Premier League, and he has ‘entered the sights’ of Everton.
According to the website they have ‘probed the situation’ of the former Fluminense player ‘recently’ and could make a move for him in the coming months.
There is no mention of a transfer fee or any negotiations of that nature, just that Everton are watching him this season.
A move would make little sense at this point given the Toffees have Vitaliy Mykolenko and Ruben Vinagre at left-back so are well covered in the position this season at least.
The Ukrainian has struggled with the attacking side of his game, though, and perhaps Frank Lampard is eyeing a more attacking player for the position moving forwards.
That’s just speculation on our part and it given the lack of information here we’ll take this rumour with a pinch of salt for now.
