Everton player’s entourage ‘wants to believe’ transfer is happening in coming days

Leandro Paredes is leaving Zenit Saint Petersburg to complete a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Thomas Tuchel wants the Ligue 1 winners to bring in another midfielder before the transfer window closes next midweek.

Allan of Napoli and Everton’s Idrissa Gueye are the two targets available for Les Parisiens, but the prospect of the former moving to Parc des Princes in January is ‘very low’ because the Serie A outfit are demanding €100m for the Brazilian.

However, the deal is still not ruled out as PSG have been in contact with the 28-year-old’s agent, just like they have kept on track for the Toffees player.

It’s explained the Senegal international held talks with the ex-Borussia Dortmund manager and is ‘still determined’ to join the French champions. The Merseyside club are also willing to let Gueye leave this month, provided they receive a fee of €30m to €35m for him.

In addition to this, Gueye’s entourage still ‘wants to believe’ the midfielder will leave Everton and complete a switch to PSG before the window closes.
