Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma has been on loan at Everton since the summer and Sean Dyche has mainly used him as a substitute this season.
The forward has clocked in 67 minutes from his last 12 league games for the Toffees and isn’t pleased with the situation at Goodison Park. Earlier this month, Cadena Ser reported it’s best for him to leave Everton and a move back to the La Liga side isn’t ruled out.
Lyon may offer the 27-year-old an option to leave Everton in January, according to Foot Mercato.
The Ligue 1 side are aiming to bolster their attack in the winter market and have several names on their agenda, including the Everton man.
They are thinking about the Netherlands international and despite his situation at the Premier League side, his profile pleases Lyon.
It’s claimed Lyon are considering a loan deal with an option to buy set at a figure not more than €15m. This deal will only be possible to carry out if the attacker’s temporary stay at the Merseyside club is cut short in January.
Foot Mercato point out that Everton have indicated there won’t be a lot of movement with regards to incomings and outgoings. Therefore, Lyon would have to convince all parties, if they want to secure Danjuma’s services.
