Everton midfielder Allan has challenged the decision by former club Napoli to fine him €170,000 for his role in a player mutiny at the club.
The Brazilian was ordered to pay the fee in November last year after Napoli took legal action against a raft of players for a player mutiny when Carlo Ancelotti was in charge at the club.
The affair dates back to 2019 when the Napoli squad was sent to a training camp following a poor run of results.
It was seen as training and punishment, but some players refused, including the Everton midfielder, who also had an argument with Edoardo De Laurentiis, the president’s son.
Fines were quickly handed out to all involved but Allan appealed, leading to a court case which was ultimately decided in Napoli’s favour.
“After the Collegio Arbitrale had ruled condemning Hysaj, the latter had appealed the arbitration award,” Kiss Kiss Napoli report him saying.
“But the Court of Naples rejected the appeal and Hysaj will have to pay €40k to Napoli. Maksimovic? He did not appeal the award condemning him to pay €28.5k and has complied.
“Allan? He’s the one hit with the biggest fine, €170k, and has challenged the arbitration award. The ruling is expected in the coming weeks, we will give it when the decision of the Court of Naples has been notified.”
