Everton are yet to convince Real Betis to change their stance on Luiz Henrique, with the Spanish side refusing any loan proposals at this moment in time.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who say Everton’s initial offer of a loan was rejected outright by those in charge at Betis.
The newspaper explains that the Spanish side are focused on potential departures to help open up space in the budget for potential new arrivals before the end of the month.
Henrique is one of the candidates to go and has suitors, with Everton among them, but they only offered a loan deal until the end of the season.
Betis refused that outright as they want at least €20m for the Brazilian winger , a figure they believe is fair. They have no interest in a loan and so rejected Everton’s offer and a similar one from Flamengo.
RB Leipzig are now approaching the player, but that operation is not advanced as yet and the player’s agents are in frequent contact with suitors, and Betis, to try and work something out.
They’re working hard to build a transfer and make it happen, but nobody has matched what Betis want as yet so the deal isn’t progressing.
Perhaps that could help Everton in the final moments of the window but for now, Henrique won’t be moving to Goodison Park.
